Task 3- Work in your Specialism

For this task I have looked into jobs in my chosen specialism in the surrounding area of Exeter and a bit further afield, London.

Task 2- Specialism Choice: Context. Dolce and Gabbana- Contempary

This collection 'Tailored Mosaic' by Dolce and Gabbana for Winter 2014 is easily my favourite of theirs. I find the intricate details of these pieces to be both beautiful and fascinating.

Task 2- Specialism Choice: Context. Mary Quant 1960s

I really enjoy the work of Mary Quant and the whole 1960s style. I love how minimal these dresses are with the use of the two colours with a simplistic pattern of squares and polka dots. There is one main colour on both garments with the other colour for the detail e.g the polka dots and outline of the squares. I think the frills on the first piece really add character and charm to the design and actually ooze elegance.

My chosen specialism is Fashion Textiles. It is important for me to keep up with the newest trends to insure my work is current. However, it is also imperative to be able to research trends from other decades if the theme requires that. It is important to show that I can adapt my skills to fit the brief and work with versatility.
